Quoted prices from CLA Scottish Tours
Tour prices are quoted on a daily basis and are in pounds Sterling (GBP) and include the cost of vehicle, driver-guide, itinerary planning, all fuel and maintenance costs, car parking fees and local taxes. All email contacts between client and CLA Scottish Tours form part of the contract, by paying a deposit you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Cancellation and Refunds for private tours
The 20% deposit is forfeited on any cancellation, which must be notified to the company in writing by e-mail.
Where the balance owing on a tour is not paid prior to the six week deadline then the company reserves the right to cancel the tour and forfeit the deposit.
Where notification of cancellation has been received less than six weeks prior to commencement of a tour the following schedule of refunds will apply:
- 41-28 days before start – 75% of balance
- 27-14 days before start – 50% of balance
- 13-0 days before start – NIL
CLA Scottish Tours Ltd reserves the right to cancel trips under exceptional circumstances. In such cases clients will be promptly informed and offered a total refund of all prepaid monies.
General Guidelines for all tours
Any personal property should be carried at the travellers’ responsibility.
We reserve the right to change the tour itinerary at any time due to weather, acts of God and events out with our control.
Unless stated otherwise, food and attractions are not included in the tour price.
CLA Scottish Tours vehicles and drivers are fully insured including public liability insurance but we recommend all passengers take out suitable travel, medical and cancellation insurance.
Smoking is not permitted on any of our vehicles.
If any of our vehicles are damaged or soiled as a result of passengers actions we will fully charge the client named on the contact for the amount.
For Gin or Whisky tours a small, refundable deposit may be charged.
Our terms and conditions of hire are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Scotland. Disputes arising in relation to this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
The Company does not accept any liability for any loss, inconvenience or damage caused by war, threat of war riot or civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural disaster, fires, sickness, weather conditions, airport regulations, temporary, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown of transport, explosion of any nuclear plant or part thereof or radioactivity/contamination arising from such plant or events beyond the reasonable control of the Company.
